MATT WILLIAMS

When I first decided to put together my own remote Australia travel blog, I spent a lot of time trawling the interwebs trying to find out exactly what I needed to do. To say I was swamped with information was an understatement.
Trying to work out what was good information from bad was not an easy task. It was at this point that I decided to get some coaching and general blog assistance from Kerri.
After an initial consultation, we formulated a plan to get my blog up and running. From helping me with domain name acquisition, choosing the best WordPress theme and web host, Kerri was there to help me out. Being more of a creative than a ‘techy’ person, it was great to know that there was someone there who had my back!
Together we worked on developing a site hierarchy that made sense to users as well as to the search engines. We built a static home page so I could specifically target key articles and points of interest.
As a photographer I know a lot about how to take the best images and how to process them to look amazing, but Kerri showed me how to ensure they were optimised so as to not slow down my site.
On the subject of speed, Kerri made sure that everything we did and added to the website did not have a negative impact on my site loading speed.
As a business person and someone who has been running her own website for many years, Kerri just knows stuff that new bloggers don’t. She stopped me making basic mistakes and put me in the best position to succeed.
I’ve now launched my website, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I’ve got a clean and easy to navigate website that also loads quickly. I even know a whole heap about SEO, keyword search and Google Analytics! Oh, and despite only launching a few months ago, I’m already ranking #1 on several articles.
Thanks so much Kerri. I couldn’t have done it without you.
